We are delighted to announce that Teja Begari, an A Level student at Cambridge, has recently authored a research paper titled “X-ray Luminosity Versus Orbital Period of AM CVn Systems.” The paper was published in the prestigious Journal of the American Association of Variable Star Observers (JAAVSO), in collaboration with renowned professor Thomas J. Maccarone from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Texas Tech University.
The research project focuses on a rare class of cataclysmic variable stars, specifically the “AM CVn systems,” characterized by exceptionally low orbital periods ranging from 5 to 60 minutes. Teja Begari’s contribution to this scientific endeavour showcases the impressive achievements and academic prowess of young researchers in the field of astronomy.

The Creativity Marathon is a remarkable event that brings together high school students from various corners of the globe, providing them with an incredible platform to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges through a captivating filmmaking competition. As part of this transformative opportunity, four talented students, Lasyapriya Akella, Anirudh Nandula, Thanushree Prajna, and Harith Aadimulam, guided by our experienced faculty, undertook the task of creating a compelling three-minute video addressing one or more of UNESCO’s esteemed Sustainable Development Goals.
With the invaluable guidance provided by Full Sail University, these students poured their passion and creativity into their project.
