Driven With Dedication. Enhanced With Safety.

Best Schools In Hyderabad

Child safety and security aren’t just adhered to the four walls of the classroom, but goes beyond and extend to four walls of the school bus, too. Protecting children every step of the way—right from the moment when they step out for the school, into the school, and out of the school is important.

Did You Know?

The Government of India mandates following rules:

    • School Bus must be written on the back and front of the bus
    • Bus must have a First-Aid Box
    • There must be a Fire Extinguisher in the bus
    • School Name and Telephone No. must be written on the bus
    • To keep School Bags safely, there should be a space-fitted under/above the seats
    • Every school bus must have an attendant on board
    • School buses should not exceed a speed limit of 40 km/h
    • The driver of a school bus must have a valid licence to drive LMV-Transport Vehicles for a period of at least four years and compulsorily wear a light blue shirt, light blue trousers and black shoes

The next time you find a school bus deviating from the above school guidelines, make sure to raise the voice and question the authorities.

As much as the government has a responsibility of ensuring child safety by implementing dire consequences for breaking the rules, Meru goes to greater lengths to safeguard the children by following every rule and regulation.

A Safer Mode Of Transportation At Meru

The chances of students reaching the school from home—and vice versa—safely are higher when they are let to commute on a school bus rather than in a car or a passenger vehicle. As much as we like to argue by instantiating a few mishaps, children are much safer in a school bus than in any other mode of transportation. Ascribe the supposition to the safety laws imposed by the government or schools’ initiatives, regardless, school transportation provides better child safety and security, which are sometimes doubtful to appear in public and private transport.

How? You ask!

Unlike the rest (such as public transport), who work with a common objective of pleasing the interests and priorities of everyone by adapting to a usual design, the school transportation department at Meru International works with a sole objective of making the ride of students as safe as possible by adapting to exclusive and sophisticated security features.

How? You ask, again!

The school buses at Meru are designed so that they’re highly visible and include safety features such as flashing red lights, cross-view mirrors, and all the compulsory components mandated by the government.

They also include protective seating, high crush standards, and rollover protection features. Contrary to most of the buses, which only have seat belts for driver, each and every seat in Meru’s school bus is facilitated with a seat belt for students to put on.

Meru ensures the utmost safety for students by ensuring the people responsible for school transportation work effectively. The school buses at Meru are the most regulated vehicles on the road as they are equipped with GPS and Live-tracking facilities for parents and management to track. The whereabouts of the vehicle are simple to track via a mobile app from a smartphone.

Drunk driving is the biggest concern nowadays. Meru counteracts with the issue by taking steps like no other. All the drivers are tested for alcohol consumption and substance abuse before they step into the vehicle, and after they step out of the vehicle at the end of their shift. Moreover, each driver undergoes health and psychiatric evaluation regularly.

It is important to note that the attendants in the school buses as well as the security personnel on the campus are females (#womenpower). This is to ensure that every sensitive issue is addressed with subtlety and comfort.
